DECEMBER
I hope this finds you well as we head into this Festive period and New Year. It's been a busy year with lots of amazing fairs and workshops. I've really enjoyed meeting literally hundreds of people who have come out to see my work and to support my small business. It is tough out there at the moment for all small businesses so your support means so much. As we head into the New Year I'm focusing on Sustainability. Nearly all my materials are now sourced second hand or are given to me. My very generous mother has given me so many of her embroidery threads I am now looking at building a studio in my garden to house them! Happy days...
OCTOBER & NOVEMBER
October is an ever changing month and the colours you discover on a walk in nature at this time of year are worth celebrating.

SEPTEMBER
We are heading through September at great speed and hanging onto the lovely sunshine we have had in this final bit of Summer.
I have just spent a very happy three days at The Makers Fair at Standen National Trust in West Sussex where I had a stand. It was an amazing fair with over 70 talented makers from the region, and we all had a great time and it was lovely to speak to so many people about my embroidery art.
I'm now working towards showing my embroidery at a number of fairs this Autumn. I am taking part in Benenden Art Fair coming up on October 4th, 5th & 6th. I would like to invite you to our Private View on the 4th October 6pm-8pm at Benenden Village Hall, The Street, Benenden TN17 4DE.
Other Fairs Coming Up...
The Conquest Hospital Friends Autumn Fair, Sat 21st September Northiam Village Hall.
Benenden Art fair (details above) Friday 4th October, 5th & 6th.
AUGUST
We have reached August and this time of year it feels like we are hanging onto those sunny warm days. I often find it too hot to embroider so wait until early evening and enjoy some slow meditative stitching.
Workshop news...
I'm delighted to be running a workshop at Create in Eastbourne in October, this workshop will be all about the practice of hand stitching in a slow way, using lots of different threads and beads onto pre-printed fabric. Enjoy this calm hobby in a happy and small group.
Find me at a fair...
I will have my work at the brilliant Pop Up Emporium at The Stade Hall in Hastings Old Town on Saturday 24th August, this is such a great fair with over 25 local artist and makers. 11am - 4pm.
If you are out and about you can now find my new art prints at:
The De La Warr Pavilion shop in Bexhill. TN40 1DP
Enjoy this lovely weather.
JULY
I am so happy to finally reveal I have been designing and stitching a bird brooch collection for the William Morris Society Museum shop in collaboration with @craftscouncil Probably one of the most exciting opportunities I have ever had! They are available exclusively in Museum shop in Hammersmith in London or online now.
This month has come round so quickly! And it is a busy one. I'm booking all my Winter fairs in, which includes a wonderful three day Makers Fair At Standen, National Trust on 13th, 14th & 15th. Also I will be at Benenden Art Fair in October 5th & 6th.
JUNE
Summer is here!
Today it feels like Summer is finally here, the sun is out and the garden looks very inviting. This is the time of year I bring out new collections of work. I read the other day makers and small businesses cannot compete with the many sales going on in the larger shops this month so I tend to design and bring out new things in June instead of running a sale.
So on to new things, after months of planning and designing I have launched my very first limited edition print of one of my embroideries. This print depicts my brooch 'Heart Of Nature' I am so pleased with the amazing representation of my piece in this print and it is printed on beautiful museum heritage paper, signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity.
It is currently available in two sizes, 36cm x 36cm and 46cm x 46cm.
Other news...
I am busy stitching new work for a very exciting project for a shop in London, all to be revealed next time.
You can also find me at the Midsummer Jamboree on Sunday 30th June at Ooh How Lovely near Rye along with other wonderful makers.
